You say it’s your birthday… well, it probably isn’t today. But when it is, there are some great birthday freebies you should be sure not to miss. Most of these, unfortunately, are only offered on your birthday. And they’re not exactly health food. So pace yourself, but enjoy!

They say there’s no free lunch… but there is a free Grand Slam breakfast, or dessert, if you go to Denny’s on your birthday. All you have to do is sign up for Denny’s Rewards.
- Benihana
If you register for Benihana’s Chef’s Table, you’ll get access to discounts throughout the year. And for your birthday, Benihana will give you a $30 gift certificate, good for your entire birthday month.
- Baskin-Robbins
How about a free scoop of ice cream on your birthday? Baskin-Robbins will email you a coupon for a scoop and a discount on a cake, as long as you sign up for their birthday club.
- Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
If you’re at the mall on your birthday, you can swing by Auntie Anne’s for your free pretzel, as long as you’re an Auntie Anne’s Rewards member, and you spend $10 or more a year.
- Cinnabon
Join the Cinnabon Rewards program and you’ll get a free order of BonBites on your birthday. You’ll also get discount coupons throughout the year for other gooey and cinnamon-laden creations, and cold brews, too.
- IHOP
If you’re a fan of the International House of Pancakes and you sign up for their rewards program, you can celebrate your birthday with a free stack!
- PF Chang’s
Love lettuce wraps or the Great Wall of Chocolate cake? You can get one free appetizer or dessert any time during your birthday month. All you have to do is sign up for P.F. Chang’s Rewards to get it.
- Jack in the Box
If you knew that Jack in the Box has tacos (we didn’t), and you like them, then you’ll be excited about their birthday gift to you. If you subscribe to the Jack in the Box newsletter, they’ll give you two free tacos with any purchase on your birthday. Thanks, Jack!

One of the only remotely healthy places on this list, Jamba Juice, will give you a nutritious smoothie or juice on your birthday. All you have to do is be a Jamba Insider member, and make sure you’ve earned at least 15 reward points by the time your birthday rolls around.
- Starbucks
Starbucks will buy your morning beverage or food item of choice on your birthday, as long as you’re a Starbucks Rewards member and have made at least one previous purchase. So make sure you’re signed up and you’ve bought at least one frappuccino or cake pop, and you’re all set!
