How often do you hit up Mickey D’s? Or make a Sonic run? If you’re like most Brigit users, you spend about $35 a month on fast food.

When it comes to McDonald’s, Brigit users are definitely lovin’ it. That’s far and away the most popular destination, where they’re spending an average of $46.74 in a typical month. Slightly behind McDonald’s is Chick-fil-A, at $40.69 average per month. Taco Bell comes in a (surprisingly, right?) fairly distant third, with users averaging $34.76 a month.

Wendy’s, the brand that definitely has the sassiest social media presence these days, is neck and neck with Taco Bell, with Brigit users averaging $33.59. Sonic and Subway are almost tied when it comes to Brigit users’ fast food spending, at $29.88 and $28.29, respectively. Burger King rounds out Brigit users’ favorite fast food spots with an average spend of $26.16.

So where’s your favorite spot? What makes you go for fast food? Is it the convenience? The low cost? Do you love the taste?

It’s definitely convenient, and it’s hard to argue with crispy fries and sizzling burgers oozing with melted cheese. (Just reading about that makes us want to hit the drive-through!) But… when you look at the cost of the average fast food order, you have to admit it’s not cheap.

The average cost for a burger, fries, and a drink at national fast food chains is about $13. At the less expensive end of that greasy spectrum are places like McDonald’s and Burger King, and on the more expensive end you have Wendy’s, Jack in the Box, and Five Guys. (Those guys are expensive—their average burger, fry, and drink cost is $20.84, way above the Wendy’s price of $12.41. And almost 3 times as much as McDonald’s, the cheapest of the bunch.

So, fast food isn’t as cheap as it seems. That means that if you can skip the McDonald’s, Sonic, Taco Bell, or whatever else your go-to might be, you can save some serious cash. Try challenging yourself to go a month without fast food, and put the money toward saving for something you really want. You might even find that you feel better—because fast food isn’t exactly health food.
